PreOla enabled the customers to create a memory...
I interact with customers on a daily basis, and I constantly search for ways to better serve and show them how much Starbucks value and appreciate their business. When Regina Hightower of PreOla Impressions initially approached me and pitched the idea of hosting a hand-casting event at the Beverly Starbucks location, I felt that it was a great idea that aligns with the fact that Starbucks is committed to engaging its customers and the community.
The first hand-casting event was held this past summer. It was so well received that Starbucks hosted a second hand-casting event that was equally successful.
I received very positive feedback from the customers who told me how much they love their hand-cast; which is something they will cherish and pass on to their loved ones. During the hand casting event Starbucks became more than a place that serves coffee, it enabled the customers to create a memory with their hand(s) through the hand-casting process.

Each impression can provide comfort and serve as a reminder to never forget a loved one.
I work very closely with individuals who have been affected by violence as well as the family of individuals who have lost their life to violence. Violence is not acceptable, and it can affect a person for the rest of their life
I have participated in several hand casting events and can honestly say that an impression can provide comfort and serve as a reminder to never forget a loved one. I invited a mother to cast an impression with her grandchildren in memory of her son, whom she lost to gun violence several years ago.
She was speechless when she saw the impression of her grandchildren hands. She told me that even though her son is gone, he lives on through his children’s hands.
